Welcome to Huntsville Bee Supply
Our story
Jon Brumbaugh is a recent graduate from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. An Ohio native, he has been a beekeeper for over half a decade. His experience as a long time member of the North West Ohio Beekeepers Association has given him a detailed knowledge and great love for bees. He enjoys working with fellow beekeepers, talking about the importance of bees, and getting people interested in becoming a beekeeper.
During his time at UAH, he was the president of the UAH Beekeeping club, an organization that focuses on getting students interested in beekeeping, honey production, and the importance of the honeybees. Jon was in charge of growing and maintaining the 4 hives that are located on UAH’s campus. He continues to be a bee mentor for the club and assists them in maintaining the campus hives.
Jon is also an active member, board member, and bee mentor in the Madison County Beekeepers Association. He is the club apiary chair, organizing monthly open hive events for members to have hands-on experiences. The goal of these events are for members to ask questions and learn new skills to take back to their own apiaries. He is also the coordinator for the club’s two honey extractors.
Huntsville Honey is our Raw Local Honey from the Huntsville Area. Our honey comes from various apiaries around the Huntsville and northern Madison county region of Alabama. We do not add any additives, preservatives, or pasteurize our honey. Our product is all-natural made with love from our happy honeys!
Huntsville Bee Supply offers Amish-made cypress hive woodenware. We take orders once a month and then pick it up from Tennessee and bring it back to Huntsville for customers to pick it up. Our goal is for our customers to have convenient access to quality equipment at a great price. In case of emergencies, we do keep a low inventory on-hand for beekeepers that get into a sticky situation and need a piece of equipment quickly to keep their honeys happy!
